Its net worth crossed Rs 84,000 crore, registering around 9 per cent year-on-year growth, while gross loan assets stood at Rs 5.84 lakh crore as of March 31, 2026. The company posted a net profit of Rs 16,282 crore and total income of Rs 59,187 crore during the financial year. REC also expanded its renewable energy financing portfolio, sanctioning 58 projects with an aggregate installed capacity of more than 13,000 MW and loan assistance exceeding Rs 85,000 crore. Its renewable energy loan assets crossed Rs 75,000 crore, registering around 30 per cent annual growth. Projects financed by REC have cumulatively helped avoid approximately 7.6 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions. During the AGM, Srivastava and the board unveiled the third edition of REC’s Environmental, Social and Governance report, reflecting the company’s focus on sustainable growth, responsible development and a cleaner energy ecosystem. REC received the highest rating in the National Stock Exchange’s ESG ratings among 505 Indian companies. It also maintained ISO 31000:2018 and ISO 27001:2022 certifications for risk management and information security. On social development, REC allocated Rs 338 crore under its CSR budget in FY26 for healthcare, rural development, environment, sports, armed forces support, infrastructure and community development. Srivastava also said the proposed restructuring of REC and Power Finance Corporation, announced in the Union Budget 2026-27, was progressing.
